Canada is launching dispute settlement proceedings against auto manufacturer Stellantis over its decision to shift production from a Canadian plant to one in the United States, Industry Minister Melanie Joly said on Monday.
The automaker maintained its financial guidance, but warned about one-off costs related to political, economic and regulatory challenges this year.
Novonix struck a deal in 2024 to supply Stellantis with as much as 115,000 metric tons of synthetic graphite over six years from the start of 2026. It has also signed supply agreements with Panasonic and Volkswagen's PowerCo.
