It’s January and for many of us in the northern hemisphere, that means staying inside to escape the cold. To help you while away the hours, Xbox is adding another dozen-plus titles to Game Pass over the next couple of weeks.

Microsoft has announced the Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Wave 2 lineup of titles. The announcement on Xbox Wire comes ahead of Microsoft’s Xbox Developer Direct on January 23, where fans will get to see a number of day one Game Pass games, including Doom: The Dark Ages, South of Midnight, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and a mystery fourth reveal.

This pass features member deals and is an excellent way to test out titles to make sure you like them before purchasing them outright.

Microsoft has revealed that additional games will arrive in Xbox Game Pass in January for console, PC, and Xbox Cloud Gaming, alongside some games leaving the subscription.

Xbox has revealed a bunch more Xbox Game Pass Games for January some of which are new to the entire platform and others which are new to Xbox Game Pass Standard (the new lower tier). The big new titles are Sniper Elite: Resistance and Citizen Sleeper 2 which will both launch on Xbox Game Pass.

Microsoft revealed the first wave of its Xbox Game Pass slate. Including a beloved classic with Diablo and a fairly decent MMA fighter with EA Sports UFC 5, this month’s entries were already solid, but Xbox has now revealed its second wave of games coming to the subscription service,

January has almost come to a close, and with that, comes some new Xbox Game Pass Wave 2 announcements. Wave 2's announcements include highly anticipated titles like Eternal Strands. This colorful indie action title with a Shadow of the Colossus twist will be released on January 28 and will be available on the subscription service.
