The Jacksonville Jaguars welcomed former Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Liam Coen as their new head coach on Monday, and he confirmed he will maintain a key component of why he was hired as their head coach.

For newly hired Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Liam Coen, this fall won’t be the first instance of him standing on the sidelines as quarterback Trevor Lawrence plays a game. Back in 2014, Coen saw Lawrence play live as the Cartersville Purple Hurricanes hosted the Buford Wolves in the 4A Georgia High School Association Football State Semifinals.

The Jacksonville Jaguars just paid quarterback Trevor Lawrence $275 million, so it seems unlikely that they will be going in a different direction under center.
