Goalie Jeremy Swayman returned to practice for the Boston Bruins on Friday and Michael DiPietro was back in Providence.

On Jan. 23, Boston recalled goalie Michael DiPietro from their AHL affiliate, the Providence Bruins. This indicated that Swayman would be forced to miss time, and Sacco gave a new injury update about No. 1 before their contest against the Ottawa Senators.

While Swayman picked up a loss in this game, he was not the problem. In fact, he played quite well, given how poorly the Bruins defended in front of him. Due to this, it felt that the Bruins pulled Swayman to have him rest for Jan.
