The tool can also be used to explore other areas, making it helpful for those planning a move, managing a rental property or checking on family or friends in another region.

Camp Mystic owners successfully appealed to the Federal Emergency Management Agency to redesignate some buildings that had been considered part of a flood-hazard zone.

Back in 2011, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) included Camp Mystic, an all-girls Christian camp, in a “Special Flood Hazard Area” for its National Flood Insurance map for Kerr County, according to the Associated Press and The New York Times.
