A panel of California State Senators grilled Alice Reynolds, the president of the California Public Utilities Commission, on Wednesday. The commission, also known as the CPUC, is responsible for setting utility rates for electricity and gas customers across the state.

The report recommends credit redistribution, more scrutiny of wildfire mitigation spending and more tweaks to net metering.
