The Sarco pod, developed by Dr. Philip Nitschke, founder of Exit International, was designed as a painless and autonomous means for terminally ill individuals to end their lives peacefully.

Dr Florian Willet, 47, was arrested last year following the death of a 64-year-old woman using a Sarco suicide pod after she was allegedly found inside with strangulation marks on her neck.
