Loving tributes are being paid to a music agent and a famous drummer after they were both killed in a plane crash. Talent spotter Dave Shapiro and former The Devil Wears Prada sticksman Dan Williams were two of six passengers involved in the San Diego, California tragedy.

Air travel is remarkably, astonishingly safe. Every year, commercial US airlines take more than 800 million domestic passengers to their destinations, and in a typical year, zero of them are killed and very few are injured. It’s a track record made possible by a fairly intense commitment to safety.

Why didn’t the control tower tell the helicopter what to do instead of asking if they saw the plane. This is a bad situation that looks like it should have been prevented. NOT GOOD!!!”
