Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has launched an investigation into DeepSeek, the upstart Chinese artificial intelligence company that rocked Wall Street last month.
Rep. Briscoe Cain, R- Deer Park, argued that “For too long, we have referred to the body of water bordering our great state as the Gulf of Mexico — when in reality, it belongs to America,” in a statement posted to scial media site X on Jan. 29.
Google also announced plans last year to invest $1 billion in Texas infrastructure.
The company currently has five retail locations across the U.S. and is expected to open Texas' first location in the spring.
