Social media influencers Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan Tate were aboard a Florida-bound private jet Thursday after being allowed to leave Romania, more than three years after they were first detained.

Romania allowed the travel after pressure from Trump officials, a person familiar with the case said. The brothers, vocal Trump supporters, were detained in 2022.

The post has been widely condemned online, with one Republican X user describing the club as "disgusting" for welcoming the pair. Capital Young Republicans, a GOP organization based in Tallahassee, Florida, called the invite "deeply disturbing."

An attorney for the brothers said they are citizens of the United States and part of an ongoing defamation case in a Florida court.
