BRUSSELS (AP) — The European Union cannot rely on the United States to defend it and must increase military spending and security preparedness to help Ukraine and deter Russia from targeting any more of its neighbors, top EU officials warned on Wednesday.

An executive order by Donald Trump demands the nation's security organizations create plans to release confidential records regarding the assassinations of John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr.
"This order is a good first step, but it has loopholes in it," warns author Jefferson Morley, whose website, jfkfacts.org, says it seeks to "abolish the official secrecy" that surrounds the 1963 assassination.
