The 17-year-old student who opened fire in the cafeteria of Antioch High School Wednesday morning fired at least 10 shots from a nine-millimeter pistol within 17 seconds, officials said.

Two students are dead and two are injured following a shooting at Antioch High School Wednesday morning, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD).

Two students were shot in the cafeteria of Antioch High School, located in Nashville, Tennessee. The shooter was another student and turned the gun on "himself" after injuring the other two students, police said. All other students were taken to a reunification site less than a mile away from the school.

MNPD reports that three students were wounded, including the suspect, who sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
