South Carolina will feel impacts from Hurricane Helene through Friday morning as the storm makes landfall in Florida and moves north through Georgia. Heavy rain, strong gusty wind, flooding, and a tornado risk are the areas of concern across the Lowcountry over the next several hours.

A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for: In addition to the tornado warnings and watches, a tropical storm warning is in effect for multiple counties including Charleston, Berkeley, Dorchester, Colleton, Beaufort, Georgetown, Williamsburg, Orangeburg, Jasper and Hampton Counties.

Hurricane Helene, now with winds at 120 mph, has sent rain, wind and storm surge into Sarasota and Manatee counties.
