Some Leon County neighborhoods already weakened by tornadoes are now having to brace for Hurricane Helene. Wednesday morning, a mandatory evacuation was issued for Leon County residents living in mobile and manufactured homes.

As Hurricane Helene brings dangerous storm surge, high winds and flooding rain to Florida, a look at power outages around Tallahasee, Leon County.

Official says to prepare for "thousands of downed trees, more than a hundred blocked roads, hundreds of damaged structures, and many, many days of extended power outages."

Forecasters say the storm, to be named Helene, could impact the Florida panhandle. Heavy rain and gusty winds are expected in Leon County by the end of the week.
