Weather warnings have been upgraded to amber for most of Scotland as Storm Floris bears down on the UK. The warning lasts from 10:00 BST on Monday through to 22:00 and warns of danger to life as damage to buildings and trees due to storm conditions is expected.

Storm Floris threatens to wreak havoc in hours with an amber "danger to life" wind weather warning in place. Brutal gusts of up to 70mph are expected to hammer many parts of Scotland. Wind speeds are "likely" to reach 80 to 90mph on some exposed coasts, hills and bridges, according to the Met Office.
