Wildlife officials in Scotland say one of four lynx thought to have been released illegally in the Scottish Highlands has died the day after it was captured.

Four lynx “illegally released” into the Scottish Highlands have been captured by park rangers in a rollercoaster two-day rescue effort.

Following the capture of two illegally released lynx in the Cairngorms, two more Lynx have been spotted. The Lynx were spotted overnight on camera’s set up by the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) near Kingussie in the Cairngorms.
