It's starting to feel like only a matter of time before Raheem Morris is fired. The Atlanta Falcons are sitting at 5-9, after an impressive primetime win over the Bucs, but Morris is holding a talented roster back from its potential for the second consecutive season. Yet Arthur Blank has yet to pull the plug on the obvious failed experiment.
Fontenot has made some good draft picks, including running back Bijan Robinson, and wide receiver Drake London. However, some others have not panned out, and the Falcons defense has been an issue during his tenure, ranking no better than 18th in scoring since 2021.

Former Falcons WR throws shade at Raheem Morris on social media
On Wednesday, McCloud was released from the New York Giants practice squad. The veteran wide receiver posted on social media following his release and appeared to throw in a little dig at Morris toward the end. "God always sheds light to the truth because it was never performance [based]," McCloud wrote on Wednesday afternoon.
Falcons running back Bijan Robinson was already leading the NFL in yards from scrimmage this season before Thursday night, when he gained 93 rushing yards and 82 receiving yards and helped his team pull off an upset in Tampa Bay.
Ahead of a "Thursday Night Football" matchup against the Buccaneers, the Falcons are flying into a storm of speculation around Raheem Morris' future.
Morris said Monday he won't focus on his own job security with four games remaining in the season. "I'm gonna give ... everything I've got."
Despite the underperformance from the Falcons, Raheem Morris is adamant that these coaching changes are "irrelevant" right now.
