After replacing injured starting quarterback Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles backup quarterback Kenny Pickett beat the Dallas Cowboys with broken ribs.

Kenny Pickett, who grew up cheering for the Eagles, was Philadelphia's starting quarterback Sunday against Dallas before a rib injury forced him out of the game in the third quarter.

With the Eagles wrapping up an NFC East title with the win, and at the very least capturing the conference’s second seed in the playoffs, Pickett may or may not have the chance to prove his toughness again Sunday against the New York Giants in the regular season finale.
