Pete Townshend, who co-founded English rock band The Who, clarified Ringo Starr's son Zac Starkey’s status with the band after he issued a statement earlier this week saying he was parting ways with the band after their recent round of shows at the Royal Albert Hall.

In a surprise move, just days after the Who announced that it had parted ways with Zak Starkey — Ringo Starr’s son and the band’s drummer for nearly 30 years — the group’s Pete Townshend announced that he has been un-fired.

The band is back together… but it turns out they were never really apart. After The Who drummer Zak Starkey announced he was exiting the band earlier this week, founding member Pete Townshend took to social media to explain that the group has worked through their issues.
