Grand Canyon North Rim faces years of recovery as Dragon Bravo grows
The Dragon Bravo Fire has nearly 20% less containment now than it did two days ago and conservationists worry a bout what has already been lost. Whenever the fire is put out, the National Park Service says the work to rehabilitate the area will begin and that could take years.
You're just in time. The North Rim of Grand Canyon National Park — a whole different, quieter experience from the bustling South Rim — opens its 2022 season on Sunday, May 15.
The White Sage and Dragon Bravo wildfires have burned over 94,000 acres in northern Arizona, but the bigger of the two has been largely contained.
