North Carolina’s death toll rose to 104 as a result of Hurricane Helene and the names of those who died have been released by the state Department of Health and Human Services. The most recent addition was for a motor vehicle crash in Mitchell County.

State officials have released an updated list of the 104 people in North Carolina killed by Hurricane Helene that also includes county of death and date of death. The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) provided News 13 with this new information.
