It's a match where the USWNT could've run up the score more if not for strong goalkeeping from Brazil but it was also a positive performance for Hayes and the team during the start of this international break without regulars like Naomi Girma.

The United States women looked sharp as goals from Trinity Rodman and Lindsey Heaps gave the United States a 2-0 win over Brazil in the first of two friendlies in this April international break.

Rodman has not appeared in a game for the USWNT since the 2024 Olympics, where she scored three goals to help the team win a gold medal. She did not play for the U.S. during their January camp or the SheBelieves Cup tournament but returned to the NWSL's Washington Spirit in March.
