It wasn't just Disney's poor choices or Rachel Zegler's comments that torched Snow White. Gal Gadot's bad acting also deserves blame.
The 39-year-old Israeli actress, who served in the Israel Defense Forces, received an influx of death threats when her “Snow White” co-star Rachel Zegler, 23, shared a pro-Palestinian message on social media, per Variety.
“Rachel Zegler gives a genuine movie star performance in Snow White, and that carries it further than you’d expect. Great vocals and so effortlessly charming! But the rest of the film is unimaginative and dull,” San Francisco-based culture writer Tyler Taing said. “Gal Gadot’s worst performance?”
A bombshell report by Variety has shed light on the alleged behind-the-scenes drama between Zegler and her co-star, Gadot. While insiders insist the two actresses had no "bad blood" during filming and "got along well," things reportedly became "awkward" in the months leading up to the film's March 21 release.
Along with the “Free Palestine” remark, Zegler caused controversy by trashing the original “Snow White” movie before the remake’s release. She called the Prince character “a stalker” and promised that her film would be more “modern” than the “dated” animated classic.
