The drug store chain says it's working on extending a pilot program that allows customers to unlock items, themselves. CBS News New York's Zinnia Maldonado reports.

The company said it was testing a feature on its app that would allow customers to unlock the cabinets instead of waiting for an employee to do so.

CVS is piloting a new feature in their app to cut down on the time it takes shoppers to get help. Kournikova, who stays mostly out of the spotlight, has been with singer Enrique Iglesias since 2001. Phyllis Fong, a 22-year veteran of the Agriculture Department, had told colleagues that she intended to stay after the White House fired her Friday.

Instead of waiting for an employee to take pity on you and unlock the cabinets in the deodorant aisle, you may soon have another way to access the locked-up shampoo and ibuprofen you seek.

CVS has launched a new all-in-one app for its pharmaceutical and retail services. Someday you may be able to use it to open locked cases in the store.

If a trial running in a handful of stores goes well, CVS will expand the feature to many more locations this year.
