Boston Bruins star David Pastrnak made a bold claim regarding Morgan Geekie's ceiling after the team's 5-2 win over the New York Islanders.

Bo Horvat and Kyle Palmieri gave the Isles a 2-0 lead for the third straight game, as they scored in the first 4:52, but the Bruins grabbed control of the game in the second period when they had ten of the first 11 shots and scored three times.

While speaking to reporters, including The Hockey News’ Russell Macias, Boston Bruins head coach Marco Sturm announced that defenseman Mason Lohrei will be a healthy scratch against the New York Islanders.

The Islanders (4-4-1) must prove to themselves they can play consistent winning hockey after blowing two-goal leads at each of the first two stops on this road trip.

Lindholm was placed on IR on Oct. 26 after he suffered an injury on Oct. 9. Bruins coach Marco Sturm classified the injury as minor and not related to the broken kneecap the defenseman suffered last year that kept him sidelined for most of 2024-25.

While the Boston Bruins trailed the New York Islanders 2-0 on Tuesday at TD Garden, there was a strong belief up and down the lineup that a comeback was brewing. The B’s were right, and five unanswered goals in the ensuing 40 minutes earned them a 5-2 victory.

The Bruins' defense could use some help and it appears that is on its way with Hampus Lindholm being activated from injured reserve on Tuesday.
