NXT Win Brings Zaria One Step Closer To WWE Women's Speed Title
With the WWE Women's Speed Championship currently vacant, a tournament to crown a new holder kicked off on Tuesday's edition of "WWE NXT." In the first opening round match, Zaria took on Wren Sinclair.
A new WWE Women’s Speed Champion will be crowned after Sol Ruca vacated the title due to injury. WWE announced that Zaria, Wren Sinclair, Fallon Henley, and Skylar Raye will compete in the tournament to crown a new Speed Women’s Champion.
The WWE Speed Women’s Championship is vacant at the moment after being relinquished by the injured Sol Ruca. A four-woman tournament will determine the new champ, with the first-round matchups being Zaria vs. Wren Sinclair and Fallon Henley vs. Skylar Raye. The Zaria vs. Sinclair match goes down tonight.

Female WWE LFG Winner Gets Ring Name, Enters Women's Speed Title Tournament
As she now transitions to the "NXT" roster, Sekelsky has taken on a new ring name, Skylar Raye. Earlier today, the United States Patent and Trademark Office revealed that WWE had filed to trademark "Skylar Raye" under goods and services, specifically for performances and media related to professional wrestling.
ZARIA is the first name to advance. With Sol Ruca being sidelined with an injury, she opted to relinquish her WWE Women’s Speed Championship. A tournament was then set up to determine a new champion. A first round match saw Ruca’s partner ZARIA versus Wren Sinclair. ZARIA emerged victorious and is now headed to the finals.
Becky Lynch is the reigning WWE Women's Intercontinental Champion. She captured the title by defeating Lyra Valkyria at Money in the Bank and has held it since then.
