Tom McKibbin has been dubbed 'the next Rory McIlroy' by many in men's professional golf, but it appears the Northern Irishman could be set to join the LIV Golf setup

Northern Ireland's Tom McKibbin is set for a shock switch to join Jon Rahm's LIV Golf team in a lucrative multi-year deal. McKibbin claimed a PGA Tour card in November after finishing among the top 10 players without a card in the DP World Tour's Race to Dubai.

This move would also see the 22-year-old follow in the footsteps of fellow Northern Irish golfer Graeme McDowell.

Today’s reports now suggest McKibbin will swap his opportunities on the PGA Tour for the chance to team up with Rahm on the LIV Tour instead. Speculation has been rife for weeks
