Olympic hopeful Matthew Richtman won his Los Angeles Marathon debut in an opportunity to get familiar with the streets of L.A. ahead of the 2028 Summer Games.

Matt Richtman won the 40th annual Los Angeles Marathon on Sunday, becoming the first American man to take the title in 31 years.

Matt Richtman did what no American man has in the last 31 years, crossing the finish line first in the Los Angeles Marathon with a time of 2:07:56.
