More than 94 million people across the East Coast are under severe weather alerts as potent storms barreled across the eastern U.S.

Monday is a FOX 35 Storm Team Alert Day due to the threat for strong or severe thunderstorms in Orlando and Central Florida.

Severe weather watches, warnings and alerts blanketed the middle of the country as forecasters warned of blizzard-like conditions and thunderstorms.

Winds are gusty tonight out of the south-southeast, potentially leading to downed trees and power lines. A Wind Advisory is in effect area-wide through Monday night. Light sprinkles are possible

Sunshine has returned Saturday after some overnight showers and will last through the day. Sunday will be mostly cloudy, with rain developing at night. Highs will reach the mid 50s both days. Sunday night a warm front will lift through the area bringing a few showers into early Monday.

As the West bakes, folks in the eastern United States will have to wait a while for a sustained warm-up, forecasters said.
