Truth is we'd been looking for a decent intermediate Jeep CJ-5 (built between 1972 and 1975) for a while, because our good friend, Mike Tarvin, has a 1975 CJ-5, "Apple Green," we've always admired.
In 2021 we acquired one of the five CJ-7s from Mark Smith's 1978-79 Expedicion de las Americas trek from Tierra del Fuego, Argentina, to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska—a Jeep affectionately referred to as Edla.
