Republican Phil Scott faces off against Democrat-Progressive Esther Charlestin and multiple minor party candidates for reelection on Nov. 5.

The lieutenant governor of Vermont is largely a ceremonial position, with only a few key duties: fill in for the governor when they are out of state or unable to do the job, preside over the Senate and help appoint chairs to Senate committees.

Here is what to know about the four Vermonters running for U.S House.

Incumbent David Zuckerman will compete against Republican John S. Rodgers and Green Mountain Peace & Justice Party member Ian Diamondstone.

Vermonters will trek to the polls on Nov. 5 to vote on who will represent them in Montpelier and Washington, D.C. Key races in the Green Mountain State include U.S. Senate, U.S. House, governor and lieutenant governor.
