A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 6 a.m. Thursday.Widespread freezing rain and drizzle will continue to increase Wednesday evening, causing untreated roads, sidewalks, and driveways to become icy and slick.

Freezing rain could lead to hazardous travel conditions across the entire Chicago area, especially during "peak timing" of the winter weather system.

It may have felt like summer for some Illinoisians in recent days, but slick roads will soon remind us that winter has not gone yet.
