Toronto police say a man in his 60s suffered life-threatening injuries after he was struck by a gas pump hose, as another man started driving away with the nozzle still attached to his car.
"The California Energy Commission (CEC) estimates there are about 120,000 gas nozzles in the state, compared to 178,000 public and shared private chargers," officials said in a news release.
Police allege the 26-year-old accused drove away from the pump with the gas nozzle still attached to his Mercedes-Benz on Monday evening.
