Speaking at the Senior Bowl this week, Auburn football coach gave his first impressions of his early enrollee quarterbacks, Jackson Arnold and Deuce Knight.

Hugh Freeze said at Senior Bowl practice Wednesday that both McGough and Vachon will be back in 2025, and he’s “prayerful and hopeful” that McPherson will also return. Freeze said McPherson underwent surgery, a decision that Freeze said the doctors felt like was “the best option.”

Arnold was the Sooners' starter in 2024, but had an up and down year that included a win over Alabama, but also saw him get benched early in the season. He was a five-star recruit coming out of high school, though, and Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze sees the potential in his new signal caller.
