Another retro coupe becomes an electric SUV as Acura announces the return of the RSX
The Acura will be the first EV built at the new Honda EV Hub in Ohio. The EV Hub is being created during retooling of the Marysville Auto Plant, the East Liberty Auto Plant and the Anna Engine Plant, meaning Honda and Acura will be able to build EVs, hybrids and ICE cars in Ohio.

Acura recently brought back the Integra name, and the result is a Type S that’s an absolute riot to drive. It isn’t as track-focused as the Honda Civic Type R that it’s based on, but who cares? Most people don’t take their car to the track anyway.

However, it wasn’t meant to be. Acura has now designated the RSX for its newest all-electric crossover. Yes, a high-riding EV with a coupe-style rear end, similar to the Performance EV Concept shown in last year’s Monterey Car Week. Well played, Acura. You got our hopes up.
The Acura RSX Returns In 2025 As An Electric SUV
The new Acura RSX will also be the first EV produced at Honda’s new “EV Hub” in Ohio. The facilities at the Marysville Auto Plant, the East Liberty Auto Plant, and the Anna Engine Plant are undergoing a $700 million makeover and retooling. The Anna Engine Plant will be where the megacasting for Honda’s new Intelligent Power Unit (IPU) is made.
