Serious flooding swamped parts of England and snow forced three airports to close temporarily as wet and icy weather combined to extend travel chaos that has plagued the U.K. since the start of the year.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice across parts of Devon and Cornwall. The first warning for snow and ice begins at 17:00 GMT and ends at 10:00 GMT on Tuesday. A second warning for snow across both counties then takes effect from 09:00 on Wednesday to 23:59 the same day.
