A gas leak has closed a stretch of road in Virginia Beach, according to a social post by Virginia Beach Police Department.

A gas leak caused road closures on South Military Highway early Wednesday morning, but has since been secured. According to officials, all lanes of South Military Highway from Indian River Road to Drift Tide Drive were closed due to a gas leak.
