Today is a FOX 26 Storm Alert Day in southeast Texas. Heavy rain will begin to move in midday with the heaviest rain expected later this afternoon into the evening. Models are showing 2 to 4 inches of rain possible in total and the highest amounts will likely be close to the coast.

The winter storm that has been impacting Texas has now moved out of the state. It brought several inches of snow to parts of North Texas and a few inches of rain for parts of Southeast Texas. There's a huge football playoff game tonight at AT&T stadium in Arlington,

HOUSTON - The next Texas winter storm is almost here, and it's going to be ugly. Houston will avoid the worst of it. Wednesday will be cloudy, breezy and cold, so bundle up. Highs will be in the mid-40s. Thursday gets interesting. Ice and snow begin for north-central and North Texas.
