The 38-year-old Serb recovered from a set down to beat Flavio Cobolli 6-7(6) 6-2 7-5 6-4 and is now only two victories away from an unprecedented 25th Grand Slam title.

Swiatek defeated Liudmila Samsonova in the quarterfinals, leading her to the semifinals, 6-2, 7-5. She currently ranks fourth in the women's singles. Meanwhile, Bencic defeated Mirra Andreeva by winning both tie breaks to earn her spot against Swiatek. She now ranks 35th in the women's singles.
