Jeep-maker Stellantis​ is idling production at plants in Canada and Mexico and will temporarily lay off 900 workers in the Midwest.

Global automaker Stellantis said Thursday that it will pause production at two North American facilities and temporarily layoff 900 U.S. workers as a result of tariffs on the automotive sector that are now in effect. A spokesperson for the company said the layoffs will impact workers at three Indiana facilities.
