New York Giants rookie running back Cam Skattebo took to X on Monday evening to share an uplifting message following his gruesome open ankle dislocation suffered during the team's Week 8 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Giants running back was carted off after suffering an ugly-looking ankle injury vs. their division rivals on Sunday.

This is a devastating blow to the Giants and to Skattebo, a fourth-round running back who captivated the NFL with his fearless, hard-charging style, which produced 617 total yards, seven touchdowns and plenty of hope for a beaten-down franchise.

Adding to the rookie running back's woes is a gruesome ankle injury that he suffered in Week 8. Skattebo underwent ankle surgery on Sunday, which presumably means his season is over. The 23-year-old running back totaled 617 yards from scrimmage and scored seven touchdowns in eight games this season.
