Mumpfield is an inside-out receiver with excellent route running and separation ability. He is capable of being a playmaker in the Rams offense, especially in 11-personnel packages. While the speed element is missed, Mumpfield, along with Jordan Whittington and Xavier Smith, provides the Rams with enough depth to manage.

The New Orleans Saints have informed rookie quarterback Tyler Shough that he will be their starter against the Los Angeles Rams with Spencer Rattler remaining on the bench, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Tuesday. Coach Kellen Moore benched Rattler in favor of Shough midway through Sunday's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
