Two men died in the violence on Democracy Street, in the Renaissance Park neighborhood off Tryon Road, and a Raleigh police officer remained hospitalized after the shooting. A large police truck with a ram attached to its front end remained in the alley on the street’s 600 block, where the garage door was smashed in.

The victim and the suspect in the shooting on Democracy Street were both over 70. A police officer remains hospitalized.

Kayla Biesaga lives across the street from the Raleigh home that was the site of a deadly shooting on Tuesday night. Biesaga’s family helped Jill Rohner to safety after the shooting started.

Antonio Rodrigues, a suspect in the fatal shooting of 73-year-old John Rowe and a Raleigh police officer, had a long history of stalking convictions and was under probation at the time of the incident.
