The Moorhead Police Department says a teen who ran away from his residence in early December has been found safe.

Police say 51-year-old Leroy Schmidt was reported missing on Tuesday but has not been seen or heard from since Nov. 2.

A teenage girl missing from Moorhead has been found safe after almost two months. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension has canceled a search for Melissa Barrett, 17, who was reported missing after last being seen in West Fargo, North Dakota, on Nov. 15. She was found safe on Tuesday, the BCA said in an update.
