Amtrak's Mardi Gras Service passenger rail ensures trains will arrive just in time for New Orleans Saints football season.

The new train service will connect Mobile to New Orleans with four stops in coastal Mississippi, returning rail service to the Gulf Coast nearly 20 years after Hurricane Katrina.

A new Amtrak service will link Mobile, Alabama and New Orleans for the first time in almost 20 years, reports Lance Traweek in New Orleans City Business. “The new state-supported route will offer morning and evening departures from both Mobile and New Orleans,
