Despite a tough start to the season for Tagovailoa and back-to-back games with three interceptions, coach Mike McDaniel confirmed he will be the team's starter for this week's matchup against the Falcons in Atlanta.

When a reporter asked McDaniel if Tagovailoa was going to be his starting quarterback for the Week 8 showdown against the Atlanta Falcons, he answered in the affirmative. But also used some comedic exaggeration at his signal-caller's expense.
McDaniel on Tagovailoa: "He’s going to be our starter this week and my expectation is that we don’t throw 10 picks."
McDaniel told reporters Monday he's sticking with Tagovailoa as his starting quarterback for Sunday's game against the Falcons. The decision from McDaniel comes after Tagovailoa threw three interceptions against Cleveland on Sunday, bringing his season total to 10, tied with Geno Smith for the most in the league.

Midway through the morning Monday, Mike McDaniel's status remained the same, almost inevitably on his way out on as Miami Dolphins head coach but with that move
