While the country deals with the aftermath of Storm Éowyn, some parts of Ireland will continue to battle with poor weather conditions as a Snow-Ice alert has been issued

The number of homes and busineses without electricity has increased to 715,000 as Storm Eowyn continues to rage across Ireland.

Met Eireann has issued a total of eight Red Weather Warnings for all of Ireland that come into effect at various times from tonight through Friday. Red Weather Warnings are extremely dangerous and destructive and pose a danger to life.

Met EEireann has said that the worst of Storm Eowyn has passed, but has warned of more strong winds, cold conditions, and possible sleet and snow showers to follow

Storm Éowyn has the "potential to be very destructive," Met Éireann said while issuing its Status Red weather warnings. Check here for the Status Red, Status Yellow, and Status Orange weather warnings coming into effect for Ireland this week.

Met Eireann issued a series of Red Weather Warnings for all of Ireland that came into effect at various times through Friday morning. Red Weather Warnings are extremely dangerous and destructive and pose a danger to life. Record wind speeds have been recorded from Storm Eoghan and already over 500,000 homes in Ireland are without power.

Storm Eowyn has left its mark on Ireland and brought plenty of damage to Dublin overnight. The red weather warning has now passed for Dublin, with an orange warning currently in place until 12 noon. That will then downgrade to a yellow warning as strong gusts remain.

Merseyside has been issued with both a yellow and amber weather warning for the next 24 hours as Storm Éowyn hits
