Marko Elez, the DOGE staffer who resigned after racist social media posts including a call to "normalize Indian hate" surfaced, will return to work for Musk, the billionaire announced.

Elez resigned from his post at Musk's Department of Government Efficiency, better known as DOGE, on Thursday after the Wall Street Journal uncovered that Elez had published racist statements on an anonymous account that once bore his name. However, on Friday, Musk confirmed he could bring Elez back to DOGE.

Musk then tweeted Friday afternoon that Elez, who was uncovered as being associated with an X account called @nullllptr by the Wall Street Journal, will be rehired. “ He will be brought back,” Musk tweeted. “To err is human, to forgive divine.” He will be brought back.
