President Donald Trump said he’s calling off the deployment of federal troops to San Francisco after speaking to billionaires Marc Benioff and Jensen Huang, as well as the city’s mayor, Daniel Lurie.

President Donald Trump has withdrawn plans to send federal agents and the National Guard into San Francisco after Mayor Daniel Lurie assured him the city is making progress on reducing crime.

Lurie said the city would continue to partner with federal agencies to combat drug crime, but that "militarized immigration enforcement" would not help.
