At least 22 deaths have been reported and millions are without power in six states as Helene makes its way inland

Hurricane Helene tore through Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas, leaving behind a trail of devastation after the Category 4 hurricane made landfall Thursday night in the rural Big Bend in Florida, the Associated Press reported.

Millions were without power across the southeastern U.S. as Florida reeled from Hurricane Helene, which pummeled parts of the state overnight, knocking out power lines and washing away houses.
